2 Longyi
A loin cloth native woven on hand looms in Burma, and worn by men and women. They are in many designs and qualities and all are about 34-in. to 36-in. wide and 72-in. long. Various names are given to the cloths according to the design. 8 Gulbadan
A flimsy silk fabric made on hand looms in Bengal, India. Gold and silver threads are used for ornament. ———————— A variety of Susi imitating a silken fabric of the same name. Made with fine English yams and glazed with gum. The distinguishing feature of this fabric is its narrow stripes. It is the most common of the native cloths. Made in the Punjab, India. Plain weave with colour stripes on a coloured ground.
